Please see the admin page and the Font Awesome module README file for more details.Colorado may be home to the Rockies, but it’s smooth sailing when you need to order a new title for your car. You can apply for a duplicate title for your car in Colorado if your current title is lost, stolen, or destroyed.
Follow these simple instructions to secure your car title in Colorado:
1. Fill out the Duplicate Title Request and Receipt from the Colorado Department of Revenue.
2. You’ll need a valid form of identification, like a Colorado driver’s license or passport if your car was bought on or after 7/1/2006. You also need to know your car’s VIN or title number.
3. Head to your local DMV with the signed request and receipt, proper identification, and a check for $8.20 (fee as of 02/08/2017). If you are requesting a duplicate title on behalf of someone else, you may also need a power of attorney signed by a notary public.
There will most likely be a 5-10 business day turnaround until you receive the new title. So, there’s no better time than the present to start the process.
Remember: If you’re in a current lien (loan) you will need to finish paying off your vehicle and secure a lien release to proceed with getting your title. We currently don’t purchase vehicles that are under a lien.
