The Best 18 Cash For Cars Purchases of 2018

We bought a lot of cars this year of all kinds of makes and models. Can you guess which car came out on top?

18.) Acura

acura

To start off our list we have Acura with some of the least amount of buys. That may be due to the small number of models they offer. The low number of buys on our end may also be due of the number of recalls the car maker faced during 2018.

But don’t let that fool you. We buy cars with recalls!

17.) Subaru

Subaru Forester

Do you have a totaled car you need to get rid of? Are you having a hard time selling it? We buy wrecked vehicles! See how much you could get for your car by calling us at 1-800-227-2893 or by filling out our online form.

16.) GMC

GMC Terrain

This year didn’t bring in many purchases of GMC makes and models. Overall, the large SUV style that GMC provides does not seem to be as popular as smaller sized SUVs and midsize sedans. Low popularity in this type of car explains why we didn’t buy many of them.

15.) Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz

Do you have a luxury car you need to sell? Cash For Cars buys more than just junk cars! We buy vehicles in any condition; that includes like-new or used luxury cars. If you’re curious what you could get for your luxury car get an instant offer now! Find out why so many sell their Mercedes-Benz to CashForCars.com.

14.) Kia

Kia Sportage

Kia is known for its cars and SUVs, which is probably why they are low on our list. They have a small selection of vehicles to be purchased in the first place, which means less opportunity for us to buy Kia’s.

13.) Lexus

Lexus RX

While Lexus has a wide selection of cars they are most known for their SUVs, which is what we buy the most of. We tend buy Lexus models when they reach their end of life.

12.) Chrysler

Chrysler 200

Surprisingly with as few models as they have Chrysler made it on our list of the cars we buy the most of. Have a Chrysler you need to sell? Sell it to Cash For Cars!

11.) BMW

BMW X5

With as many models as BMW has and the popularity they seem to have we were surprised to find that BMW was not higher on the list. We bought a wide range of BMW models, including this 2010 BMW X5 XDRIVE3 out of North Boston.

10.) Volkswagen

Volkswagen Beetle

This year we bought all kinds of models from Volkswagen, including this iconic 2013 Volkswagen Beetle.

9.) Mazda

Mazda CX9

As we approach the end of the list we start to see that the top cars we buy are usually due to the car reaching its end of life or new model releases. In Mazda’s case they don’t have many models planned for the new year. Most Mazda purchases we made could be due to reaching its end of life or other factors such as salvaged vehicles.

8.) Hyundai

Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai provides models such as the Hyundai Sonata that rank among the best midsize sedans of 2018. We purchased more of the Hyundai Sonata this year than any other Hyundai model.

7.) Jeep

Jeep Wrangler

With limited, but highly popular models it makes sense to see Jeep in the middle of our top cars list. With a rise in demand for their version of the SUV, the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee, it’s fitting to see that we bought more Jeep Wranglers than any other model.

6.) Dodge

Dodge Ram

Do you have a truck you need to sell? Don’t waste time with online listings only to wait around for weeks, maybe even months, before you get an offer. Sell your truck to Cash For Cars! We buy trucks of all makes and models, not just Dodge!

5.) Nissan

Nissan Juke

Among some of our most purchased vehicles in Nissan, specifically the Nissan Altima. Typically, the vehicles we buy range from 2002 and 2010. Most that sold their Nissan to us were most likely ready to upgrade to one of their 2018 or 2019 models. Upgrading from a later year Nissan to a new model usually ensures that the car buyer will have a more fuel efficient and safer car.

4.) Chevrolet

Chevrolet Equinox

Sell your SUV to Cash For Cars! With our easy 3 step selling process, you could have cash for your SUV in as little as 24 hours. We buy SUVs of all makes and models, and with over 35 years of experience our car buyers are trained to give competitive offers.

3.) Honda

Honda CRV

The updated design for the Honda Accord put this car make on the top sellers list with over 135,000 units sold in the first 6 months of 2018. With a wide selection of popular models it makes sense to see Honda so high up on our list.

2.) Ford

Ford F150

Ford was among the top selling cars in 2018. In fact, Ford sold over 85,000 units of the Ford Fusion in the first 6 months of 2018. They have many options for cars such as luxury, fun performance, and functional which helps make them one of the top selling vehicles in the U.S. A car in demand is a car that’s easy to sell, which may explain why it was our second most bought car make.

1.) Toyota

Toyota Camry

The number one car we buy the most of is Toyota! To be specific, the Toyota Camry is what we bought the most of this year. While Toyota is among the top 10 best selling cars of 2018, we suspect we bought the most of this make due to the lifespan. Most of the Toyotas we bought were 10 years or older which is typically the time a car reaches its end of life and the car owners are looking to sell their car.
